How can horses help us with our team building experience? Horses live in herds which are not unlike human teams and families. They have relationships, roles, responsibilities, leaders and followers. Each horse has its own "horsenality" that he/she brings to the herd dynamic. They help one another and they correct each other when "somebody" ("somehorse") gets out of line.
Horses are excellent non verbal communicators. They also mirror one another and the humans they are with. This makes them excellent at giving feedback.
Let's change our direction.
A social worker and a horse professional will design equine assisted ground based (not mounted) activities targeted to meet your group's goals. Through these equine experiences your team members develop new perspective on how to become more cohesive. They come to a greater understanding of their roles and responsibilities in the group. Most importantly they gain insight into problem solving, communicating, and resolving conflict.
Our equine assisted team building experiences are meaningful, powerful and very popular with both adult groups and youth.
